1.     1.     Accordingly, to use these three band mixing method, I would like to use “six-layer mix”. As you can see one-layer mixing has hard visual to interpret the land cover and land use and Three-layer mixing has good visualization but not enough to delineate the specific land cover and land use. For the six-layer mixing, there are many bands and particularly, RED and NIR bands are suitable for interpreting the vegetation. Therefore, more bands we have, makes more quality of interpretation.

2.       According to use these three different equalizations, among these methods I have chosen, I would choose “Standard Deviation” to interpret the land cover and land use. Personally, Standard Deviation option is more distinguishable than other two options. For the Gamma correction and linear equalizations, in my opinion, they are little too bright to distinguish.

3.       My initial thought about eCognition developer was impressive. This was my first time and too early to say I ‘m confidence to use this program, I think this program is very suitable for interpreting the land cover and land use. The skills I have used in this program were very handy to use and were much simple format than any other program that I have used before. In my opinion, the best thing that I would like to compliment this program, is allowing users to differentiate among many other visual options. For example, in (Figure3.), I have used the split display method and based on that, I can differentiate among those images. I could have changed band mixing for one of the images and analysis which image has better interpretation for the land cover and land use. Referring to last semester, I have used Arc GIS, NDVI and ERDAS for my studying. Those programs are magnificent tools that I can apply many other map image analyses. For Arc GIS, it is useful to making map and interpreting map with geospatial data. For the NDVI, it is best tool to analyze the green vegetation and also ERDAS is one of best tool for remote sensing analysis. Never the lass, for me, the power of eCognition developer is compare and contrast the two or more different band color at the same time.
